Department Events

All graduate students are welcome to join in attendance for these recurring events around the department. We especially encourage cross-disciplinary interaction among members of the various research sub-fields in our department.

Guest Speakers

Each week, the department invites speakers from various institutions to give a presentation about their research or specialty. The four sub-field seminars often contain more in-depth, technical discussions of a given topic, while the colloquium lecture is meant to be more accessible to all physicists and astronomers in the department, regardless of their academic experience.
